I was just commenting that I don’t remember such stifling at the unit level in the 80s and 90s as I saw in the GWOT and the Tweens, never mind the near dissolution of 2021 until T2.
2020s: stifling is down to NCO meetings. I gently said “beware of careerism…” and was kindly shushed. With good intentions, the poisoners of the court were quite ready to strike…
So here’s the point;
We are in the late Edo Japan warrior class stage, so it’s either Meiji restoration OR the collapse that happened in China. It’s going to happen very fast either way. All the decay is present, but so is the Restoration President, Veep and Shogun SECDEF.
To encourage truth telling; the guardians of decay are cowards, corrupt and frightened.
