John Boyd conceptualized the physical, mental, and moral levels of conflict. This understanding transcends military contexts and offer valuable insights for any domain where humans sense, decide and act. These three levels have broad implications for our existence.
At the foundation we have the physical level. This is the world in which we all exist and interact with people, places and things. It encompasses the entirety of our human existence. We are connected to this physical realm. It's the world of tangible elements, where we draw sustenance, make decisions, and act. In our daily lives, the physical level is the material world we navigate. It includes resources, technology, and the natural environment. It's where we work, play, and strive to meet our basic needs. In essence, the physical level is the stage upon which the circumstances of our lives unfolds.
